Hang Lung Wins Coveted Global Awards for Excellence in Marketing
(Hong Kong, May 24, 2017) Hang Lung Properties is pleased to announce that our world-class properties, Fashion Walk in Hong Kong and Plaza 66 in Shanghai, have won two internationally acclaimed awards for excellence in the field of marketing. Fashion Walk's 2015 Fashion Intelligence Index campaign won the Honoree title in the Marketing Category at the 2017 ICSC VIVA (Vision, Innovation, Value and Achievement) Best of the Best Awards, conferred by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). The Honoree status is a global award, with contenders from all around the world, open only to regional Gold Award winners. As a Gold Award winner in the Asia Pacific ICSC program, Fashion Walk qualified for entry to the global competition. This global award comes on the heels of the Bronze Lion award, which Fashion Walk claimed at the internationally recognized Cannes Lions 2016 for its innovative campaign concept. Meanwhile, Plaza 66 in Shanghai took home a Silver Stevie Award in the Innovation in Consumer Events – Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations category, at the 2017 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.

In response to the double win, Mr. Norman Chan, Director (Leasing & Sales) of Hang Lung Properties, said, “We are proud to receive recognition for our innovation and creativity. Both awards speak volumes about the level of commitment driving our teams to create successful events. The novelty and innovation of their ideas have achieved the highest levels of customer engagement. From our Causeway Bay mecca of style and fashion, where the ingenious concept of an index that collects data from fashionistas to map and predict upcoming trends received an incredible response from patrons, to the magical winter wonderland in our landmark Shanghai mall, the planning and execution of these events has made full use of online and offline means to engage, entertain, captivate, and sustain the interest of the community. With the affirmation of these most recent awards, we at Hang Lung are all the more committed to presenting dynamic, integrated marketing campaigns for our customers going forward.”

The Fashion Intelligence Index program has garnered 10 esteemed awards since its inception. It was the only Honoree from the Asia Pacific among the 17 awardees at the 2017 ICSC VIVA Best of the Best Awards, which is an eloquent testimony to the team's efforts in creating innovative marketing campaigns. ICSC is the global trade association of the shopping center industry, and the annual VIVA Best of the Best Awards recognizes the shopping center industry’s most cutting-edge properties, innovative solutions, and creative responses to market trends throughout the world.

The Santa’s Atelier at Plaza 66 captivated the judges with its splendid display of festive décor and the fun-filled journey planned for patrons throughout the month with different online and offline engagement programs. The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards is the only business awards program that recognizes innovation in the workplace in all 22 nations of the Asia Pacific region. More than 700 nominations from organizations across the region were considered this year in categories such as Excellence in Innovation in Products and Services, Innovative Management, and Innovation in Corporate Websites, among many others including the Award for Innovation in Consumer Events – Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations, which was clinched by Plaza 66.
