Steel is widely used but a major emissions source, responsible for 8% of greenhouse gases annually. The global initiative, SteelZero, brings together leading organizations to speed the transition to a net zero steel industry. By joining the initiative, Hang Lung aligns itself with the SteelZero commitment for 50% low-emissions steel sourcing by 2030, setting a clear pathway to using Net Zero Steel for 100% of its steel by 2050, at the latest.
