(Hong Kong, November 9, 2012) Hang Lung Properties Limited (HKSE stock code: 101) is pleased to announce that its landmark project in Jinan, Parc 66, has garnered the Silver Award in the category of “Best Retail and Leisure Development” at the MIPIM Asia Awards 2012 held last night.

This coveted accolade adds to a string of awards already gained by Parc 66, with the previous most recent being at the 2012 ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards in September when it garnered the Gold Award for New Developments under the section of “Design and Development” and the Gold Award for Sustainable Design.

Following its grand opening in August 2011, Parc 66 has already established itself as an iconic landmark as well as the largest shopping center in Jinan, bringing added vibrancy and new levels of luxury to the city’s increasingly affluent community. Situated on Quancheng Lu, the “Golden Avenue” in the heart of Jinan, this world-class shopping complex bears all the hallmarks of Hang Lung Properties’ prestigious “66” brand with its use of top quality materials, cutting edge technology and its timeless design. Providing a gross floor area of 171,000 square meters on seven stories, it has set new lifestyle standards with its comprehensive facilities, from premium dining and superlative shopping to the latest leisure and entertainment facilities. It has attracted a strong inflow of customer traffic not just from the city but also from the surrounding region.

As of end-June 2012, Parc 66 was almost fully let with up to 380 tenants, with more than half being leading global brand names. Many of these brands, including Bang & Olufsen, Coach, Escada, Furla, IWC, Muji, UNIQLO and Versace Jeans, are being seen for the first time in Jinan. Furthermore, Kids Club on the fifth floor is a fantastic and wildly popular attraction for children.

The architecture of Parc 66 is a reflection of the region’s natural beauty. The complex’s graceful, wave-like roofs, green spaces and curved façades echo the theme of water and blend agreeably into the nearby parkland. The two inverted triangular-shaped shopping malls are connected by an undulating bridge, “The Dragon”, which provides dynamic spaces and convenient access to different mall areas. In November 2011, the project attained the prestigious “Certification under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Core and Shell Development – Gold Level” issued by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The MIPIM Asia Awards recognize outstanding real estate projects in the Asia Pacific region for their innovative, technical, environmental and architectural qualities. Special attention is paid to such criteria as infrastructure and transportation access, environment integration, concept originality, technical and architectural quality and services offered.
