(Hong Kong, February 28, 2013) Hang Lung Properties Limited (HKSE stock code: 101) and Hang Lung Group Limited (HKSE stock code: 10) are pleased to announce that their FY2011 annual reports have won the Gold Award in the world-renowned 2012/2013 MERCURY Awards in the category of “Annual Reports – Overall Presentation: Property Development”. This is the fifth consecutive year that Hang Lung has clinched the MERCURY Awards.

Organized by MerComm, Inc. of the United States, the MERCURY Awards recognize and honor the world’s best achievements in public relations, public affairs and corporate communications in which exceptional intelligence, creativity, originality, style and effectiveness are demonstrated.

This year, there were more than 680 entries from 21 countries competing for the MERCURY Awards. Each entry was evaluated three times in the judging procedures with the awards given to the top three performers.

Bearing the themes “Expanding Horizons” and “Soaring Perspectives”, Hang Lung’s 2011 annual reports revolve around the concept of unlimited energy and growth as exhibited in the natural world. Showcased on the cover of the reports is Forum 66 in Shenyang, another world-class Hang Lung project which newly came to light last September. Forum 66 is the newest “leaf” in the Hang Lung tree of development as the companies continue to grow their “soaring perspectives” and extend their “expanding horizons”.

The 2011 annual reports presented a comprehensive account of the major moves taken by the companies during the period under review, shed fresh light on the latest market developments, and provided insightful discussion on the strategic initiatives that are being planned and taken amid the ever-changing market landscape.

The reports also set an excellent example for quality information disclosures, in particular in the areas of corporate governance and corporate social responsibility.
