(Hong Kong, July 5, 2013) Hang Lung Properties Limited (HKSE stock code: 101) today held a grand ceremony to launch its new staff uniform, a further step taken to demonstrate the Companys deep commitment to enhancing customer service.
The ceremony, held at Hang Lungs headquarters at the Standard Chartered Bank Building, was hosted by Mr. Philip N.L. Chen, Managing Director of Hang Lung Properties Limited, with the uniforms designer Ms. Lu Lu Cheung in attendance.
Mr. Chen said, "Hang Lung has now developed into a national commercial property developer. While we are continually in growth, we have always remained fully aware that we have to ensure that our products, mall design and services are all of world-class standard. In keeping with our cherished pledge of "We Do It Right", the Company launched the Hang Lung Star Service Program last year, a move to further enhance the service standards of our frontline staff. The new uniforms give customers a rejuvenated image of Hang Lung. Here, I would like to thank Ms. Lu Lu Cheung for her outstanding design, and also all our colleagues who were involved in the project for their hard work."
The launch ceremony broke with tradition by being held in Central, Hong Kongs busiest financial district. Along with the professional models, celebrity Mr. Moses Chan together with Hang Lung colleagues showcased the new uniform.
In designing the 12 sets of new uniform, Ms. Cheung has catered for the requirements of staff in different positions in the Company. The colors are sharp yet harmonious, and Hang Lungs corporate green color has been added to emphasize the Companys image.
Ms. Cheung said, "To me Hang Lung epitomizes energy. The Companys architectural designs and image are always fresh. I kept this in my mind as a guideline while designing the uniform, which is not just comfortable and durable but also suits the needs of staff working in the various sectors of Hang Lung."
To make sure that staffs requirements for the uniform were addressed, Hang Lung surveyed opinions of colleagues in Hong Kong and mainland China. More than 2,600 staff in Hong Kong and mainland China are already serving customers in the new uniform.
