Topping-out of Major Structure of Olympia 66 at Dalian

(Hong Kong, November 29, 2013) Hang Lung Properties Limited (HKSE stock code: 101) is pleased to announce that the construction of another of its landmark projects in Liaoning Province, Olympia 66 in Dalian, is making good progress. Mr. Philip N.L. Chen, Managing Director of Hang Lung Properties Limited, led a senior management team to meet with the Mayor of Dalian, Mr. Li Wancai, as well as other city officials on November 26 to report on the good progress made by the project. Mr. Li also gave a brief introduction to the latest economic and social developments in Dalian.

Mr. Chen expressed his gratitude for the assistance and support provided for the project by Dalian government departments.

He said, “With the support of government departments of Dalian city and Xigang District, the construction of Olympia 66 is making satisfactory progress.
After the topping-out of its major structure, equipment installation and interior decoration are expected to go ahead at full speed in 2014. Leasing activities will also be started soon, with the objective of having a grand opening of this world-class commercial project in 2015. It is believed that Olympia 66 will bring a brand new one-stop shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment experience to people in and around Dalian.”

A topping-out ceremony of the major structure of Olympia 66 was held on the same day, attended by Mr. Wu Jihua, Party Secretary of Xigang District, and Mr. Yan Lijun, Governor of Xigang District. They witnessed this milestone stage of the project together with Mr. Chen.

Olympia 66 of Dalian is located south of Olympic Plaza in Xigang District and west of the People’s Square Station of Metro Line 2. With a site area of around 64,000 square meters and total gross floor area of around 370,000 square meters (including car park areas), the project represents a wonderful blend of the traditional Chinese culture and the essence of modern harmony, using the concept of the auspicious Chinese Tai Chi twin dancing carps.

The project features interconnected atrium spaces stretching from east to west, and together with its unique glass canopy, Olympia 66 will become the largest single iconic commercial landmark in Dalian.

Olympia 66 also incorporates an impressive array of sustainable development design features. These include natural light atria, the use of renewable energy and advanced waste water treatment equipment and water-saving systems to reduce energy consumption. Olympia 66 has attained the “Precertification under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Core and Shell Development – Gold Level” issued by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The project will provide more than 400 shops, a cinema, skating rink and more than 1,200 car park spaces. The grand opening in 2015 will inject new energy into the retail and service industry of Dalian.
