(Hong Kong, January 16, 2014) Hang Lung Properties will fill its style hot spot Fashion Walk with the spirit of prosperity by introducing the theme of “For the Win” in its fabulous decorations and exciting events to usher in the Year of the Horse. The bustling lifestyle hub at Paterson Street and Kingston Street will be decked out in festive and colorful decorations from tomorrow (January 17) onward accompanied by an array of entertaining games with valuable prizes for all to “Get Lucky” at the dawn of the year.

For this Year of the Horse, Fashion Walk has created a mega puzzle installation, assembled from large numbers of colorful light boxes. Shoppers are invited to push buttons to light up the word “Happy New Year” to win. Lucky game players can win wonderful prizes including deluxe holiday packages to popular destinations for two adults among many others. What’s more, shoppers will be greeted by three large windmills on Paterson Street to bring good luck to all at Fashion Walk. Passers-by can also spin the wheels of windmills inside Fashion Walk to bring prosperity and fortune for themselves in the New Year. Mini windmills will also be given away at Fashion Walk for shoppers to bring back good luck to their homes.

In addition, Fashion Walk has invited famous Hong Kong floral artist Gary Kwok to design planters along Paterson Street in honor of the Year of the Horse. Gary is renowned for her exquisite floral designs incorporating a variety of colors and flower arrangements. Among her many accomplishments, she helped to launch Armani Flori in 2002 for international brand Giorgio Armani. Gary’s series of festive flower boxes use ravishing colors and an assortment of beautiful flora to express the “Prosperous Life” theme.

Fashion Walk has always supported local designers and this New Year will be no exception. They will include Puff Terrariums, founded by duo Calvin and Karen who are famous for designing exquisite indoor mini gardens that are self-contained and easy to maintain. Working with the concept of “Victorious Life”, they will display their miniature design skills to present 13 of life’s winning moments around Kingston Street. Each winning moment is featured with a quote from famous figures such as Walt Disney, Bruce Lee and Princess Diana, inspiring you to pursue your New Year goals. The pillars along the street are further enhanced by “graffiti”knitting street art supplied by La Belle Époque, adding fascination and style to the area.

A frequent collaborator with Fashion Walk is young and talented award winning designer Ken Lo who has created a premium set of “For The Win” lai see red packets especially for this Chinese New Year. Each set contains 32 packets in 8 different designs. Each design displays the different movements in a horse’s gait.
