(Hong Kong, September 24, 2015) Hang Lung Properties has recently become the first property developer to install state-of-the-art “oxygen from powder” emergency oxygen system in its shopping malls in Hong Kong, providing timely support to customers suffering from breathing difficulties during an emergency.

The “oxygen from powder” technology, introduced from the United States, replaces the traditional oxygen cylinder system and allows trained users to provide oxygen directly and easily to people in need.

To date, Hang Lung has installed the “oxygen from powder” technology plus automated external defibrillators at eight of its properties. The Company has arranged professional training, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, operation of the automated external defibrillator and "oxygen from powder" emergency oxygen system to our frontline staff, so they can provide emergency care to customers in need. The properties so far installed with these two types of equipment are the Standard Chartered Bank Building in Central, The Peak Galleria, Fashion Walk and Hang Lung Centre in Causeway Bay, Kornhill Plaza, Park-In Commercial Centre and Grand Plaza in Mongkok and Amoy Plaza in Kowloon Bay.
