Hang Lung volunteers and the elderly people display their vigor at the Tea Dance Party and show that they are the dancing kings and queens of the new era.

(Hong Kong, October 25, 2015) Nostalgia is very much a fashion trend these days and in keeping with this fondness for the past, the Hang Lung As One volunteer team today held a “Tea Dance Party” for 40 elderly people. When the young volunteers held hands with the seniors as they danced together, it was just like the 1960s and 1970s when tea dancing was a popular social activity.

The Hang Lung As One volunteer team organizes a variety of fun activities to help elderly people enjoy themselves and at the same time be active. At the party, the elderly participants vied to become dancing kings and queens as they danced to their favorite tunes from the old days. The young volunteers shared their enthusiasm and everybody danced their utmost so as to win the titles of "Dancing King" and "Dancing Queen". The elderly and the volunteers also wore outfits of the old days in order to compete in the dressing-up contest.

To help create the right atmosphere, the volunteer team invited Rabbit BoBo, the “Elvis Presley of Central”, to sing popular oldies such as “I Love You More Than I Can Say”, giving great pleasure to the elderly and volunteers alike.
