(Hong Kong, January 19, 2016) This Chinese New Year, Hang Lung Properties’ The Peak Galleria and Kornhill Plaza will partner with the American apparel brand, Paul Frank, to bring an exciting new perspective to a Chinese classic, “Journey to the West”. The brand’s trademark character, Julius, will reprise the role of the Monkey King in famous scenes from the novel. Together with his friends, Julius is sure to delight visitors at the two shopping malls by combining a distinctive Western flavour with festive Eastern inspiration. These spectacular decorations are also complemented by an array of exciting activities to welcome the Year of the Monkey.
The Peak Galleria and Kornhill Plaza will present to customers some of the well-known scenes from the classic Chinese literature. They will be able to revisit the scene “Havoc in Heaven” at the main entrance to The Peak Galleria. Julius will be dressed up in a glamorous New Year outfit at the “Water Curtain Cave” at Atrium on Level 1. The joyful holiday atmosphere extends to Level 2, where customers have the chance to win exclusive Paul Frank gifts at the “Flower and Fruit Mountain” Game Zone.
At Kornhill Plaza, Julius and his friends will greet all customers at the “Fiery Mountain” located at the entrance of the South Tower (MTR Tai Koo Station Exit C). Julius will also appear on Mezzanine Floor, where “Five Finger Mountain” comes alive in stunning decorations that mark a New Year of health, happiness, prosperity, and success!
From January 22 to February 22, Paul Frank will be opening a pop-up store at both The Peak Galleria and Kornhill Plaza, offering a wide range of fabulous Paul Frank gifts. From now through February 7, 2016, Paul Frank limited edition red packets have been reserved exclusively for customers at The Peak Galleria and Kornhill Plaza. They can redeem these chic red packets by spending HK$300 in a single same-day purchase. The redemption is available on first-come-first-served basis and while stocks last.
