Chan, Chairman of Hang Lung Group and Hang Lung Properties, in the annual reports of Hang Lung Properties since he took up the chairmanship a quarter-century ago in 1991.

Mr. Chan uses these important tools for transparent communication with shareholders and the wider community to share his business strategies and unique views on the current development of the China and global economies. Curating this extensive volume brings a legacy of 25 years of success for Hang Lung into sharp perspective, through the words of the Chairman whose interior disposition and ability to respond to changing economic scenarios has steered the Company through both calm and storm-tossed waters into a position of strength for future growth, under the business philosophy, We Do It Right.

Since assuming the role of Chairman, Mr. Chan has penned a total of 102 Chairman’s Letters to Shareholders with a word count of over 198,000 words. The letters have also been translated into over 340,000 Chinese characters.

Writing in the earlier years, Mr. Chan focused on reporting the achievements and strategies of the Companies in his letters. In more recent years, he has dedicated more attention within the letters to analyzing the state of the Hong Kong, mainland China and global markets, offering insights that have been of keen interest both at home and abroad.
