Fire Incident at Amoycan Industrial Centre (June 24, 2016, 00:15)

Hang Lung Properties is deeply grieved to learn of the tragic death of one more firefighter, Senior Fireman, Mr. Hui Chi-kit, in his valiant attempt to extinguish the blaze at Amoycan Industrial Centre. With heavy hearts, we send our most sincere condolences to Mr. Hui's family and loved ones.

Hang Lung's Managing Director, Mr. Philip Chen said, "Over the past three days, Hong Kong has lost two of its most heroic firefighters. The news has touched Hang Lung and our staff with the most profound sadness. The sense of grief and loss is palpable in those of us working closely on the situation."

We have conveyed our message of sympathy to Mr. Hui's family and loved ones via The Fire Services Department. We will provide whatever necessary support to them at this time of immense grief.

Amidst the tragic loss of their comrades, the firefighters are still working hard around the clock to bring the fire under control. We would like to extend our deepest thanks for their bravery and professionalism in the face of danger. We are proud to have such courageous and outstanding Fire Services in Hong Kong, who are deeply committed to protecting the lives and properties of Hong Kong people.
