(Hong Kong, March 10, 2017) In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of AEON Stores (Hong Kong), Kornhill Plaza is delighted to be collaborating with AEON STYLE in launching a series of exciting promotions and privileges over the coming months to toast the success of this integrated department store, which has witnessed the growth of two generations in eastern Hong Kong Island and is entering a new era of development alongside the community.
AEON organized its 30th Anniversary Kick-Off Ceremony today at AEON STYLE in Kornhill Plaza, where Hong Kong’s first JUSCO department store was located when it opened in 1987. Hang Lung Properties’ Director (Leasing & Sales), Mr. Norman Chan, was invited as one of the officiating guests. Together with other honorable guests, namely Ambassador and Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong, Mr. Kuninori Matsuda, AEON Stores (Hong Kong)’s Chairman Ms. Yuki Habu, Managing Director Ms. Christine Chan, Deputy Managing Director Mr. Hideaki Yajima and Executive Director Mr. Chak Kam Yuen, the anniversary celebrations were launched in fitting style.
Speaking at the Kick-Off Ceremony, Mr. Norman Chan said, “Hang Lung has seen AEON as a long-term partner over the years. In addition to Hong Kong’s first-ever AEON STYLE, located at Kornhill Plaza, AEON has also leased more than 500,000 square feet of retail space from Hang Lung in Hong Kong. This speaks a great deal of the unequivocal trust and confidence that underpins this partnership. Both companies also share the same values and aims to shape the Hong Kong retail landscape. Complementing the unveiling of the new AEON STYLE at Kornhill Plaza, the mall has also introduced a total of 22 new brands including 4 dining outlets over the past year. The renovated Grand Kornhill Cinema will also be open next month. Equipped with the first MX4D motion theatre in Hong Kong, it will allow customers to enjoy an advanced and unique audio-visual entertainment experience.
