(Hong Kong, August 6, 2017) Hang Lung Properties today is proud to host a series of skipping performances by the Hong Kong Rope Skipping Delegation who just scooped the championship title for the sixth consecutive year at the 9th Asian Rope Skipping Championships.
The Hong Kong Rope Skipping Delegation beat representatives from many territories and countries and achieved an outstanding result by winning a total of 91 medals (27 gold, 35 silver, and 29 bronze) and breaking three Asian records at the Asian Championships. Today, in a lap of honor around Hong Kong’s busiest districts, the winning skippers, led by coach and member of the medal winning male team, Cyrus Yeung, were greeted by enthusiastic crowds as they presented single, double, and flash mob-style group freestyle rope skipping performances. The public had an opportunity to take a closer look at the astonishing speed, teamwork, and focus that the team possesses and cheered for the young skippers as they celebrated their victory with them.
Being their very first public appearance after returning home victorious from the Asian Championship, suitably prominent venues were chosen to host the flash mob performances, which took place at core, landmark properties in the Hang Lung Hong Kong portfolio, The Peak Galleria, Fashion Walk, Grand Plaza, and Amoy Plaza. The performances aside, the skippers also shared rope skipping techniques and tips on the training needed to become a high-speed skipper.
