(Hong Kong, November 10, 2017) This Christmas, shopping centers under Hang Lung Properties’ portfolio will be decked out in the “Tune in to Christmas” theme, inviting guests to embark on an exhilarating, festive musical journey. From now till January 1, 2018, the “Merry Beatmas” band from the Christmas Music Village will jingle all the way to Amoy Plaza, to jive and jam with adults and kids alike. Guests can approach either side of the stage and become a part of the band by simply standing in front of the distorting mirrors. For the photo snappers after a picture perfect Christmas, a stroll along the Starlight Musical Garden offers opportunities to capture romantic and fun moments with loved ones as a perfect memento of the Christmas joy. And the festive fun just keeps multiplying at Amoy Plaza with special Christmas treats hidden among the enormous Christmas tree ornaments.
This Christmas, Amoy Plaza will introduce “creativity stimulation” as a key element in its events for the first time. Enlisting the assistance of post-1980s music therapist Kingman Chung and the School of Creativity, an inspiring workshop for children has been devised using music to unleash their artistic zeal. In addition, designer Alize Lam and artist Miss Fat will be on hand to teach guests how to use recycled products to create musical instruments. Shoppers will be able to join a workshop session by showing a single receipt for spending of HK$300 or more. Furthermore, guests spending HK$1,500 or above in two or three same-date electronic receipts from different tenants will be entitled to redeem one set of “Tune in to Christmas” headphones, ensuring you a perfect holiday that will be music to the ears.
Every Sunday during the festive period, different musical acts and performances will entertain Amoy Plaza guests with merry tunes to celebrate Christmas in form of busking, along with Christmas Carol Singing on every weekend in December. On Christmas Day, Opera Hong Kong will be on hand to sing carols, with the outdoor pedestrian areas featuring musical bubbles and snow machines, to give families the joyful experience of a white Christmas. Santa Claus will also appear to whip-up the Christmas spirit and pass out presents on specific dates. Furthermore, Amoy Plaza will be setting up a Christmas Market, where guests can discover delicious seasonal delicacies and hunt for that perfect Christmas gift to share the warmth of this season of blessings with family and friends.
