Sustainability | Jun 27, 2024

Hang Lung Properties is leading the charge in sustainable real estate with a groundbreaking achievement. Since April 2024, 5 out of the Company’s 10 operating properties in mainland China are now powered by renewable energy, setting a new industry standard.

By embracing power purchase agreements that utilize wind and solar power, we are committed to transforming the real estate sector and challenging conventional norms. Surpassing our 2025 target of 25% renewable energy for our mainland China portfolio, we prove that economic success and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

This milestone aligns with China's carbon emissions reduction goals and positions Hang Lung as a sustainability frontrunner. It also serves as an inspiration for other companies to embrace renewable energy and redefine their impact on the planet.

Hang Lung's dedication to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 further emphasizes our commitment to a sustainable future.
