For the fifth consecutive year, Hang Lung has organized its Nationwide Volunteer Day, this time harnessing even greater social synergy to enhance public wellbeing. On September 7, 12 Hang Lung As One volunteer teams across Hong Kong and nine Mainland cities simultaneously held activities under the theme “Working with Youth”. This collaborative effort, involving stakeholders from various sectors, contributed to building a diverse and inclusive society, benefiting a broader spectrum of communities.

In Hong Kong, the Hang Lung As One volunteer team organized a vibrant carnival celebrating diversity and inclusion. Collaborating with 13 local charitable organizations and social enterprises, and with support from tenants, the event featured game booths, workshops, and stage performances showcasing the multifaceted talent of young people. The initiative brought together youth from various backgrounds, including mentees from the Hong Kong SAR Government’s “Strive and Rise Programme” and recipients of “The Hang Lung Scholarship and Development Donation for the Visually Impaired”. Nearly 650 underprivileged children, youth, and their families participated, learning about care and inclusivity through fun activities.

Volunteer teams in Shanghai, Shenyang, Jinan, Wuxi, Tianjin, Dalian, Kunming, Wuhan, and Hangzhou joined forces with local government departments, charitable organizations, schools, and mall tenants. Together with the younger generation, they organized diverse volunteer activities, including educational and learning initiatives with university students, charity bazaars with youth organizations and mall tenants, and a student-led tour of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal for children to raise their environmental awareness. These initiatives aimed to broaden young people's perspectives and foster their engagement with society.
