Ongoing turbulence in the global economy continued to affect the
leasing market in Hong Kong. However, through strategic planning,
attractive promotional campaigns and effective cost controls, our
shopping malls and office developments maintained steadily high
occupancy rates of 96% and 94%, respectively. Rental turnover and
profit increased by 3% to HK$3,016 million and 4% to HK$2,525
million, respectively, due to positive rental reversion.
